SchoolNooks ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of co-op organizers, families, and students who use our platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account information (name, email address, password)
• Co-op and family data you enter into the platform (roster, schedules, attendance, billing)
• Student information including names, photos, and enrollment records
• Payment information processed securely through Stripe

We also collect limited technical data automatically, including IP addresses and browser information, to operate and improve the service.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve SchoolNooks
• To process payments and send billing communications
• To send service-related emails (account setup, password reset, product updates)
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use student data for advertising.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Each co-op's data is isolated in its own database. We use industry-standard security practices and conduct regular reviews.

Student Data

We take student privacy seriously. Student data (names, photos, records) is accessible only to authorized co-op administrators and is never shared with third parties except as required to operate the service. We comply with applicable laws including FERPA.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon account cancellation, data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
